Today, we went to a birthday party at the church for one of Witten's friends. Witten's hair has been driving me crazy for a couple of months, but at the party, I realized that he was the only boy with suck long, shaggy hair. I don't know if it's because the other kids' hair just doesn't grow as fast, or if they had all found a barber soon. I mentioned to another mom there that we were looking for someone, and had been told to go to a barber shop, but we didn't know of any close by. She mentioned a place called Jack's Barber Shop where her mom used to take her brother. As a bonus, it was on our way home!
We ran by the pavilion on the way out to say hi to GranJan who was having a craft weekend with some other ladies from the congregation.
Then, we headed off to Jack's.

Since we were there anyway, Mitch decided to get his hair done too. It needed it. It was so cute to have my two boys sitting side by side getting their hair done, but Mitch was sad to miss being able to watch Witten get his hair done.

The girl who did Witten's hair showed him all of the tools she was going to use on him before she used anything.
The clippers were absolutely silent. I couldn't tell that they were running at all, but there was hair flying everywhere, so they clearly were!

I love seeing his hair sticking straight up. It was even longer than this when we got there. At this point, she had already cut some off!

I told her how we normally fix it, but she said that for his first barber shop haircut, he had to leave with the old fashioned barbershop style. He looked SO cute, and the ladies LOVED him. He was the talk of the building. To get this shot, the girl blew in my face a few times with this little air blower that they use to blow blow hair off the customer. Witten thought it was hilarious. Mom on the other hand was quite surprised!

There was a little old couple waiting for the husband's turn to get his hair done, and they just watched Witten the whole time and talked about how great he was. He didn't make a sound the whole time, and was just so interested in watching what was going on around him.
