18 Months

Witten turned 18 months old a few days ago, and he went for his 18 month check-up today. When he was 9 months old, he was in the 5th percentile for both height and weight. At 12 months, he was up to the 15th percentile for both. Now he's 18 months, and I don't think you're going to believe how big my little man has gotten. In just 18 short months, he's gone from being well below the growth chart to being in the 30th percentile baby!!! Wow, what a growth spurt.

I had wanted to get some cute 18 month photos, but when we took him outside, all he wanted to do was walk, so I got 4 shots of him walking towards me. This was the best...oh well...you can still see how big her is holding that football!

At 18 months, you are:
1. walking all over creation
2. dropping things on the floor just so that you have an excuse to say "Uh Oh!"
3. saying mama, dada, milk, uh oh, and various other one syllable words that start with D but all sound the same when you say them such as dog and done
4. wiping your nose with anything that even remotely feels like a kleenex
5. speaking in some alien language that truly sounds like something written for an alien script
5. tyring to help put your clothes on
6. giving lots of hugs and kisses
7. waving bye-bye to everyone
8. getting in more teeth than I can count including 4 molars which means LOTS of slobber on everything!
9. climbing on EVERYTHING including up to the slide where you like to stand at the top like the king (as a side note, you do this at school all the time, even trying to push or pull kids off of the slide so that you can get on)
10. still refusing to let Mommy go to the bathroom in peace!
11. playing the game where you put things in and then take them back out
12. following instructions very well
13. giggling like I have never heard when Mommy tickles you
14. playing with the dogs who are still taller than you are
and
15. making your mommy and daddy the happiest mommy and daddy on earth.
