Our small town of Pantego has lots of festivals for the various holidays throughout the year. This is our first year here, so we didn't know how things worked. When we got to the park, they had huge circles set up for different age groups. Witten's age group was 5 and under I think. They relied on the honesty of parents to help kids only take their allotted number of eggs. Each kid was allowed 8 eggs. When Witten got back, he only had one egg while other kids had huge baskets full. He didn't care though, and one of those little boys in front of him in this picture gave them one of his eggs. (They only had about 5 eggs between them.) They also told us that the Easter Bunny had a helper who would give the kids more eggs if they didn't have enough.
The last Easter bunny we saw was fairly creepy, but this one...Whoa! You can see on Reese's face that she's not too happy about being in his lap. She was actually very tired, and only wanted to be held by Mommy.
Later on, after the kids were in bed, we filled their baskets with some goodies. They each got a personalized bunny that had on personalized PJs to match the kids personalized Easter PJs. They also got new Bibles with special messages from Mom and Dad. At some point, we'll have to stop giving them Bibles each year, but for now, we love it so much! Also, we read the Bible every night to them, so it's nice to have multiple Bibles to choose from. That way we get a different version each night.
