Strawberry Pickin'

Today was GORGEOUS!  When the kids woke up from their naps, we were trying to think of something fun to do outside.  We didn't want to take them to the zoo at that point, because we just bought our passes this morning, and they take 72 hours to process.  Then, I remembered the farm down the street that had strawberry picking until 5...so...we packed up the car and headed out to the farm for some yummy strawberries.

Witten had a great time, and once he learned how to pick them without squishing them, we all had a lot of fun.
He got really good at finding the red, ripe ones, and was really proud when he found them and picked them on his own.
On our way back down the isle, Daddy stopped and picked a few with Witten.
This picture was difficult to get since the kids didn't really want to cooperate, but you'd never know it!
Witten liked to straddle the hose that watered the strawberries.  He walked like this all the way back to the checkout stand.
This was the best I could get.  It took about 5 minutes to get him to sit still, put his hands down, look at the camera, and at least pretend he was having fun!
That's a lot of strawberries!  (About 3.5 pounds.)
