Roommate Date

Last night, Jo and I went to the symphony to see Blue Planet with live music. It was really cool. The actual composer of the music for the show was conducting the orchestra, so that was really great. They had a big movie screen set up to show scenes from the show while the orchestra played. One part of the music was a bit cheesy because it was written for trumpet, so it sounded kind of circa 1980's romantic comedy-esque. There was also a scene that played of a killer whale attacking a seal. It was REALLY hard to watch because the whales attacked on shore, brought the seal back into the sea, and proceeded to play with it while it was still alive before finally killing and eating it. One would toss it up in the sky with its teeth, and the other would bat it back with its tail. This continued for about 5 minutes before they finally ate it. When the whole thing was over, we were supposed to applaud for the music, but I had a hard time with that because the scene was so horrific.
