Softball Game

Well, Mitch joined the neighborhood softball league. We found out the name of the team AFTER he joined, and just saw the shirts for the first time last night...we're NOT impressed. Mitch is actually trying to figure out how to remove the design without destroying the shirt.

If you look closely, you can see that it says NADS in huge red letters along with two softball underneath...nice touch...I know... Witten tried to stay busy and hydrated with water and snacks while watching Daddy play. They didn't play well. Mitch is not very athletic, nor are the other guys on the team, and most of them seem to be in the late 30s or older. They played against a team of a bunch of young 20 somethings. In the first inning, the NADS...yes, you heard that right...scored one point while allowing 12 scored against them.

When Mitch came up to bat, they threw a pitch while he was wiping off the bat, and it was called as a strike against him. Daddy enjoyed the time with Witten when he wasn't on the field, and Witten really liked it too. He kept reaching through the fence trying to get Daddy's glasses. He even got to sit on the bleachers like a big boy! But, he quickly got tired of that, so we played in the grass for a while. NOT a good idea...there were ants everywhere! The final score was 18 to 5. I'd say that other than the first inning, the old guys did a pretty good job...STILL not happy with the team name. Why a man in his late 30's would think having his family and friends scream "GO NADS" at a grown up softball game would be funny is beyond me!

Actually it is so embarrassing that it's really funny.
