We spent the morning just kind of taking it easy, and then we headed out to one of the most famous stores in Hawaii, Hilo Hattie. We received little shell leis when we got there, and shopped for a few gifts. We followed that with another popular store, ABC. That's where we bought some beverages for the week and a huge bottle of water before heading out to the beach.
The Renaissance has it's own beach front accessibility, so we spent a bit of the afternoon down there before heading out to dinner. This was my first beach experience since everyone I've talked to says that the mission trip to Maine, where one of the elders wouldn't let us in the water because we were mixed sexes doesn't count. There weren't many people on the stretch of beach that we found, so we had our own private beach area. It wasn't the greatest for swimming, but it was really fun.
