Softball Thursdays

For the past 3 summers, the Richland Hills Single 20s class has had their own softball team. I have always been a proud supporter and avid cheerleader of the team. The first year that they were a team, they lost every game, so for the last game, I made silver medals, and we had a medal ceramony (this was the year of the last summer olympics, the one in Australia) and they won silver for coming in second in every game.

Last year it seems like they won a few games, but not many.

This year, we had so many people interested in playing that we actually formed 2 teams. One, the Barn Burners, has managed to win a couple of games, including the game against out other team, the Yardworkers, and the team that Mitch and my closest friends, Julie Thigpen, Jennifer (Thigpen) Brackeen, and Chad Brackeen play for. They, as of tonight, are 0 and 6. It's sad because they are pretty decent players, pretty good actually, but the team as a whole struggles. Here's Chad pitching, he's our new pitcher, and the game went a lot better this time! Jennifer, his wife, is in the far right hand corner of this pic, and she is a pretty good firstbase person.

Here she is about to get the girl from Joe's Pizza out.

And here's Julie catching her second out of the game. She was definitely the MVP in a game that ended 7-19!
This is Mitch playing second. Posted by Picasa
